Shipping costs and fees other than sales price or service usage fees:
The fee to reissue the MB.CHARGE Public card, 1,760JPY (including consumption tax) (1,600 JPY excluding consumption tax), shall be borne by the customer.  Otherwise, in the course of purchasing MB.CHARGE Public services, the customer is not charged for shipping costs and fees, other than the sales price or service usage fees.

Effective date of MB.CHARGE Public contract:
Upon completion of the registration process of MB.CHARGE Public, the MB.CHARGE Public contract shall take effect between the customer and Mercedes-Benz Japan G.K(“MBJ”) and the monthly base fee shall accrue starting from that month, unless MBJ refuses the customer’s application for the MB.CHARGE Public contract.  The monthly base fee for the month that the MB.CHARGE Public contract is concluded will be charged on a pro-rate basis starting from the effective date of the MB.CHARGE Public contract.  

Time of offering MB.CHARGE Public card and Availability of MB.CHARGE Public services:
If the customer does not have a MB.CHARGE Public card, the MB.CHARGE Public card will be sent out within ten business days to the customer’s registered address after completion of the registration process of MB.CHARGE Public.  

MB.CHARGE Public card will become available for use within 24 hours after activation of the MB.CHARGE Public card. Please note that until then, it may not be usable.

Payment methods and Payment Due Date:
Payment method is limited to credit card.
This credit card needs to be the credit card that the customer registered in the MB.CHARGE Public website, which is in his/her own name.

MBJ shall charge the monthly base fee, charging fee and the fee to reissue the MB.CHARGE Public card (collectively, the “Fees”) accrued as of the end of each month to the credit card company registered by the customer on approximately the fifteenth to twentieth day of the following month (the day on which MBJ charges the Fees to the credit card company shall be the “Settlement Date”), and the customer shall pay the Fees to MBJ by settling his/her credit card account as of the Settlement Date.  If a settlement on the credit card registered by the customer cannot be made on the Settlement Date, the customer shall immediately pay the Fees to MBJ by the method designated by MBJ.

The payment due date will differ depending on the credit card company and the contract terms, so please contact the credit card company.

Withdrawal of the MB.CHARGE Public contract:
The customer may not withdraw his/her offer after completing the registration process on the MB.CHARGE Public website. The cooling-off period does not apply.

Contract Period (Quantity) and Termination of the MB.CHARGE Public contract:
Until the customer applies for termination of the MB.CHARGE Public Contract, the contract will continue and the customer will continue to incur the monthly base fee.

The customer may terminate the MB.CHARGE Public contract by completing the termination procedures on the MB.CHARGE Public website.

If the customer completes the termination procedures up to one (1) day before the end of a given month, the MB.CHARGE Public contract will terminate as of the last day of the month in which the termination procedures are completed; if the termination procedures are completed after one (1) day before the end of the given month, then the contract will terminate at the end of the following month.

If the customer has completed procedures to terminate the MB.CHARGE Public contract, the customer shall pay MBJ the full amount of the monthly base fee and the charging fee etc., accrued up to the last day of the month of termination of the MB.CHARGE Public contract.

After the complimentary service period set forth in Section 6.4 of the Terms of Use (i.e., one year after activation of the MB.CHARGE Public Card for the first time as provided in Section 2.2(iii) of the Terms of Use, which is available only for electric vehicles designated on the website) has ended, the monthly base fees will be calculated and charged on a daily basis. Therefore, if a customer does not complete the termination procedure by one (1) day before the end of a complimentary service period month, the monthly base fee will continue to be incurred on a daily basis. In regard to the specific date on which the customer shall pay the monthly base fee, please refer the MB.CHARGE Public website.
